What's new at the UP Library

March 23, 2020

During our temporary closure, UP Public Library still has the convenience of online checkout of books, movies and other materials at any time of the day or night!  And, our staff members are continuing to answer your calls and assist you with research Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

What’s new?

Story time is now presented on Facebook Live on Thursday’s and Friday’s at 10:45 a.m. To access the Virtual Story Time, like us on Facebook here - https://www.facebook.com/universityparkpubliclibrary/

If you want to talk with a librarian about what to read next, call Library Director Sharon Perry at 214-987-5630 or email her at sperry@uptexas.org.

Find out about the newest and most exciting books available to you, read the library’s Book Blog: http://library.uptexas.org/wordpress/

How to get a University Park Public Library card online

Library cards are free to all University Park residents and to those who live inside HPISD boundaries. To obtain a library card, please use this link:

https://uppl.ent.sirsi.net/client/en_US/external/search/registration/$N/SYMWS/true

So library staff can contact you for verification, make sure you provide us with a valid email address.  Once your identity has been verified, library staff will email your library card number to you and your new card will be mailed to you.

With your library card you can check out many items, including ebooks, emagazines, and audiobooks through our online services, which can be found here: https://www.uptexas.org/government/up-public-library#Digital

If you need help getting started, library staff can help you on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on Fridays and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
