The Fire Marshal's Office is responsible for issuing fire permits (alarms/sprinklers/tents) and conducting annual commercial fire inspections. The Fire Marshal also investigates the cause, origin, and circumstances of every fire occurring within the city. In addition, the Fire Marshal's Office works closely with local schools to implement Risk Watch, a curriculum developed by the National Fire Protection Association.

All fire plans must be submitted electronically to Marty Corn and Phyllis Mahan.
