Meeting Cancellation - The Planning and Zoning Commission Meeting scheduled for Tuesday, January 12 has been canceled. SMU has asked for its zoning request to be rescheduled. When a new date for consideration of that item is determined, in accordance with state law, the City will advertise the meeting in a timely fashion. In compliance with State orders, the University Park Community Development Department is committed to maintaining essential businesses, including construction activities. Our objectives are to keep the community and workers as safe as possible. City inspectors review each jobsite daily and will take action if these objectives are jeopardized. The Community Development Department encourages social distancing on all job sites and the use of face masks when social distancing is not possible. Inspectors are using proper personal protective equipment on occupied inspections and if residents have safety concerns, inspections can be rescheduled. At this time, while all permitting and inspection services are available, Community Development offices at the Peek Service Center remain closed to the public.
