Community Development (Peek Service Center) -- The Community Development Department's primary responsibilities are the administration of building codes and zoning ordinances, and to help ensure the safety and welfare of the general public through proper enforcement of these regulations.

Finance -- The Finance Department manages the City's financial assets, cash flows, and fiscal operations.
Fire -- The University Park Fire Department provides customer-oriented fire prevention, fire suppression, and emergency medical services to the residents of University Park and Southern Methodist University.
Human Resources/Employment (City Hall)
Mayor and City Council
Municipal Court -- Municipal Court handles all Class C Misdemeanors such as traffic citations, parking violations and City ordinance cases.
Parks & Recreation (Peek Service Center) -- The Parks & Recreation Department is responsible for maintaining and developing eight major parks to serve a wide variety of recreational and leisure needs for citizens.
Public Works (Peek Service Center) -- The Public Works Department is comprised of five divisions with responsibilities for:
Police -- The University Park Police Department provides community-minded public safety services to the public.
Purchasing (Peek Service Center) -- The City's Purchasing Division is responsible for buying supplies, materials, and equipment necessary for the delivery of municipal services, as well as for contracting some minor construction and professional or personal services.
Sanitation (Peek Service Center) -- The Sanitation Division is responsible for the collection and disposal of all municipal solid waste material within the City.
University Park Public Library -- The University Park Public Library provides a wide variety of services for the community, from toddlers to senior citizens.
Utility Services -- The Utility Billing Office bills customers each month for City services including water, sanitary sewer, refuse and recyclables collection, stormwater, Direct Alarm, and alarm registration.
Where do I go for? City staff is housed in three separate buildings. City Hall is located at 3800 University Blvd. The Fred N. Peek - Harold Peek Municipal Service Center is located at 4420 Worcola, Dallas. UP Public Library is located in the Plaza at Preston Center. Go to City Hall for: Police, Fire, Municipal Court, City Council Meetings, Executive Department, Utility Services, Finance Department, Human Resources, Information Services.
Go to Peek Service Center for: Public Works, Sanitation Division, Traffic Division (traffic/road sign/signal maintenance), Community Development (building permits etc.) Parks and Recreation Department, Purchasing Department. University Park Public Library: The City's public library is located at 8383 Preston Center Plaza, suite 200.
