Honor Guard

The University Park Honor Guard was established in 2008 to honor the traditions of the fire service by representing the department at certain memorial services and funerals, awards ceremonies, parades, and sporting events. Appropriately, in keeping with the often solemn nature of their activities, Honor Guard members are required to exhibit the highest degree of professionalism and character at all times.

In 2013, the Fire Department purchased bagpipes. Lieutenant Dustin Lewis has mastered the pipes and plays for our special events, as well as for other departments, often honoring fallen first responders.

Members include: Commander Lieutenant/Paramedic Joe Watkins, Batallion Chief/Paramedic Terry Fowler, Batallion Chief/Paramedic Brandon Ferguson, Captain/Paramedic Matt Milner, Lieutenant/Paramedic Casey Graves, Firefighter/Paramedic Denton Garcia and Firefighter/Paramedic Paul Abel.
