Streets

The Infrastructure Maintenance Division provides the following street services:

  • Curb, Alley Pavement, and Street Pavement Repair
  • Handicapped Accessible Sidewalk Ramps
  • Street Sweeping

Curb, Alley Pavement, and Street Pavement Repair

The Infrastructure Maintenance Division provides minor repair and /or replacement of deteriorated curbs, street pavement, and alley pavement. Large-scale projects (i.e., complete street or alley reconstruction) are designed and bid out to private contractors through the Engineering Division.

To Report a Problem

Residents may report broken or deteriorated curbs, street pavement, and alley pavement by calling the City's 3-1-1 Information Line. Residents can also report the problem by completing the online Service Request form.

Handicap Accessible Ramps

The Infrastructure Maintenance Division is responsible for the installation and maintenance of handicap-accessible ramps at each corner of an intersection.

To Report a Problem

Residents may report a hazardous sidewalk condition by calling the City's 3-1-1 Information Line. Requests for the installation of a handicap-accessible ramp may be made by calling 3-1-1 or by completing the online Service Request form.

Street Sweeping

The Infrastructure Maintenance Division contracts with an outside vendor to sweep streets in accordance with the following regular schedule:

  • Arterials streets - Biweekly
  • Commercial areas - Weekly
  • Residential streets - Monthly
  • Alleys - Monthly

Additional sweeping may be necessary following construction, ice storms (after sanding operations), or other activities.
